A live wedding painting is a captivating performance for wedding guests, allowing them to follow the artist’s creative process and watch as the newlywed couple, familiar to them all, emerges on the canvas during the celebration.

The artist entertains the wedding guests and captures the authentic atmosphere of the wedding in the painting.

After the wedding, the artist finishes the artwork in their own studio. The completed, dried, and protected piece is delivered to the newlyweds lovingly packaged.

Please include at least your names, the wedding date and location, and any other requests in your message.

2. Once we have agreed on the schedule and art package, I will send a contract, which will be confirmed by paying a 30% reservation fee. The final invoice must be paid by the wedding day.

3. Further details will be agreed upon during the meeting.

Planning meeting

We will hold a remote planning meeting well in advance of the wedding.

During the planning meeting, we will go through the course of the day, the details of the wedding reception, and the couple's wishes regarding the painting in more detail, as well as other factors to consider for a successful live wedding painting and a memorable wedding day.

Depending on the circumstances, we can also visit the wedding venue together in advance.

Wedding anniversary

On the wedding day, I will arrive well in advance to prepare the painting area.

Earlier in the day, I will take a reference photo with a system camera during a moment agreed upon in the preliminary meeting, according to your wishes.

I work in the event venue in view of the guests. Wedding guests can follow my creative process and see how, during the celebration, the newly married couple and the surrounding setting they know well emerge on the canvas.

At the end of the wedding day, I will take the artwork back to my studio for final touches.

Finishing stage

I will take the artwork back to my studio after the wedding to finish it. I will touch up the artwork to perfection and let the paint dry.

I will apply a protective varnish to ensure the artwork's durability.

The duration of the finishing stage will be agreed upon with the wedding couple on a case-by-case basis, depending on the artwork's technique and level of detail. Generally, the artwork will be ready to move to its new home within 1–3 months after the wedding.

Delivery of the finished work

The finished, dried and protected artwork will be delivered to the bride beautifully packaged.

Depending on the location, I will deliver the artwork to the bride myself, or it can be sent by post. The artwork can also be picked up from my studio. We will agree on these details during our meeting.

I am Tanja-Lotta Hakala, a mother and a small business owner in the arts living in Veikkola.

I have several years of experience as a professional wedding photographer, and weddings are familiar and close to me.

Fine art painting is my main business, and live wedding painting allows me to combine both sides of me.

I have 17 years of experience in live painting for various events.

I bring inspiration and joy through artistic creation.
